True Hearing are taking practical steps to ensure that our staff, patients and our broader community are provided with a healthy environment.
We are asking all patients and staff not to enter the premises if:
- You are experiencing fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath
- You have returned from overseas travel in the last 14 days
- You have had close contact with someone diagnosed or suspected of having Coronavirus
We continue to ensure high hygiene standards with regard to medical devices and test equipment, including practicing proper hand sanitising procedures and cough
etiquette.
We are closely following advice received from Department of Health, as well as the World Health Organisation (WHO), regarding precautions that are needed to minimise risks concerned with COVID-19. For further information related to COVID-19 please refer to https://www.health.gov.au/ .
True Hearing may be able to provide a home visit service or remote hearing aid fine tuning (depending on your hearing aid model and technology). The Hearing Services Program has announced additional support for clinics and patients in relation to claiming these services.
True Hearing is also excited to be able to offer hearing health through Teleaudiology. Like most health solutions, hearing health advice is commonly administered through in-person consultations. The importance of hearing health during the COVID-19 outbreak should not be overlooked, however, and this is where True Hearing can help. The remote care technology allows hearing aid wearers to speak to our Audiologists through video calling, using your smartphone or tablet, and for the Audiologists to carry out programming adjustments remotely on certain devices, so you don’t have to attend the clinic unnecessarily.
